I am a 2018 graduate of the University Of North Texas Mayborn School Of Journalism with a degree in Public Relations. My UNT Mayborn PR degree is based in tactical PR writing, strategic planning, and cultivating creative innovation.

My current position is with Stride PR as a Public Relations Coordinator working with indie game publishers and developers to set their amazing projects up to succeed by tailoring strategies around press releases, interview pitching, influencers, social media, event organization, large scale giveaways, cross-studio collaborations, QA testing, judge recruiting, among other responsibilities. 

Previously I was with ThinkGeek, Inc. as a Social Media Specialist. Through this position, I gained the skills needed to create campaigns with brands like Marvel, HBO, and Lucasfilm, as well as work with a community of millions of fans. At That One Video Gamer, LLC., as a community manager, I prided myself on my ability to create and maintain a brand voice. With the use of that voice, cultivate the ability to create a community, allow that community to grow, and sprout into its own unique little corner of the internet where anyone is welcome. In order to achieve my goals in each role, I had to hold myself to be accountable, diligent, empathetic, and mindful of all the going ons around me.
 

Throughout my four year internship at ThatOneVideoGamer, LLC. and a six-month public relations volunteer program at Greatest Generation Aircraft, NPO.;  I have proven that if I’m not multi-tasking, I’m not excelling. While I went to school full time, I also worked these internships, managing my staff at my main job as an Assistant Store Manager at GameStop, Inc., and in my spare time, planning and executing events of my own design around my local area. (i.e. Tournaments, trivia nights, launch parties, ect.) Throughout these avenues, I have also gained a decent amount of finesse when dealing with business partners and familiarizing myself with a number of communities. These jobs were all essential for me to reach my full potential as a professional in my field.
